Walking into the Bigness

01 August 2014 – 23 August 2014 Merlyn Theatre

Story by Richard Frankland & Wayne Blair

Malthouse Theatre,

New Writing Theatre

The life story of Richard Frankland, playwright, musician and proud Gunditjmara man. There are five Richard Franklands, played by indigenous and non-indigenous performers, male and female. The idea is that we could all be a Richard Frankland, or at least that his journey of self-discovery is universal.

"WITHOUT BEING DIDACTIC FRANKLAND'S WRITING HIGHLIGHTS THE ISSUES THAT EXIST IN THE KOORIE COMMUNITY AND DOES SO WITH HONESTY, SENSITIVITY AND STRENGTH."
